For Every Family
Policies & Dress Code
We strive to create a positive, structured environment that promotes growth, discipline and a love for dance. Please review these policies — covering registration, tuition, attendance, performances and dress code — so every dancer and family knows what to expect.
What to know before you enroll
These guidelines cover everything from registration and tuition to attendance, make-ups and performances. Questions? Call us at 540-750-0098 — we're happy to help.
-
Registration
All registrations are completed online. A non-refundable, non-transferable registration fee is required for new and returning students at the time of enrollment.
- Registration is online only.
- The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Enrollment is confirmed only after the registration fee and first tuition payment are received.
-
Tuition & Payments
The first month's tuition is due at registration. Monthly tuition is based on weekly class hours and processed through our automatic-debit system.
- Payments are due on the 1st of each month; auto-draft processes on the 1st.
- The deadline for manual payment is the 30th.
- A $35 fee applies to declined (NSF) payments.
- Late fees of $20 are assessed on the 7th and again on the 14th of the active month.
- Non-payment may lead to suspension from class.
-
Attendance
Consistent attendance is key to progress. Dancers should arrive on time, ready to work, and participate fully.
- Excessive absences may affect eligibility to perform in the End-of-Year Recital.
- No tuition refunds, prorations or credits are given for missed classes, unless the class is cancelled by MMCA.
-
Withdrawal
To withdraw a student, parents submit written notice 30 days in advance through the Jackrabbit (JR) Parent Portal.
- A 30-day written notice is required via the JR Parent Portal.
- All fees incurred during the withdrawal period are the parent's responsibility.
- Accounts must be settled at the time of withdrawal.
-
Make-Up Classes & Inclement Weather
If a class is missed — due to weather or any other reason — a make-up may be scheduled within a limited window.
- You have 2 weeks to make up a missed class.
- Make-ups may be done in any class of the same level or below, if space is available.
- Limit of 3 make-up classes per season.
- Classes not made up within the 2-week window are forfeited and not eligible for a make-up.
- No refunds or tuition adjustments are issued for missed classes.
-
Yearly Performances
Mountain Movers dancers shine in two productions each year — non-competitive celebrations of each dancer's growth.
- Winter Production: early December (upcoming December 2026 — schedule to be announced).
- Spring Production: early June (2027 dates to be announced).
- Further details for each production are shared closer to the date.
-
Studio Fundraisers
Fundraising helps keep our recital affordable for every family.
- Each family participates in one studio fundraiser to help offset the cost of recital fees.
Registration and withdrawals are handled through the Jackrabbit Parent Portal.
JR Parent PortalDress code & uniform requirements
